My walls were covered with photos of people I loved, but they felt like time capsules of a life that no longer existed. I'm not a still-life kind of girl, and scrolling through endless abstract art online left me cold. When I landed a New York apartment and had to start completely fresh, I knew what I wanted: sophisticated visuals with personality. Art that gave me energy instead of echoing the silence back at me.
So I did what any portrait photographer would do - I created my own roommates.
